HABA - Inventive German Toys for Inquisitive Minds
With a company philosophy based on the principle that children are the most important things in life, HABA have been inventing well thought out, multi-award winning toys for over 80 years. They create toys that foster a range of skills, imaginative play and fun.
All HABA toys are designed in Germany by over 15 employees who pour their heart and soul into the development of well-thought-out toys and games every day. At the end of it all, special products emerge that stimulate childish curiosity and desire to play. The HABA range of toys includes baby toys, ball tracks, blocks, dolls, games, puzzles and toys for outdoor play.
Not only are the ideas made in Germany, but so are most of the wooden toys. They are produced at HABA’s own facilities in the Upper Franconian city of Bad Rodach, Germany. Proactive environmental protection and sustainable production have been fundamental components of HABA’s company philosophy for years. Short transportation routes, modern production techniques and innovative materials are a matter of course for HABA. They use new organic materials from sustainable resources and textiles, plastics and paperboard from renewable resources. All of the beech and birch wood used in the wooden toys is made from locally sourced sustainable forests and all carry the PEFC seal.
Most importantly the carbon impact of a wooden toy is 25 times less than that of a plastic toy, and HABA toys are so durable that they can be handed down to the next generation.
